Jenny Golfin of the Register Citizen and Daniela Forte of the Litchfield County Times are collecting donations for those impacted by Hurricane Sandy in Connecticut.
Items being collected are: bottled water, non-perishable food items, blankets, toiletries, pillows, personal hygiene items, diapers, batteries, old working phone chargers (car and home), clothing, and gift cards.
Daniela and Jenny will be collecting donations at the Register Citizen offices at 59 Field St., Torrington, CT from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

They will be distributing the donations in Milford on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the commuter lot near Exit 55B (Northbound off the Merritt Parkway) and Exit 55 (Southbound off the Merrit Parkway) where people may pick-up donated items. For those people wishing to donate that are outside of Litchfield County they will also accept donations at that time which will immediately be given out to those in need.
