American Red Cross Community Blood Drives Scheduled for February

The American Red Cross encourages all those who are eligible to donate blood to help patients in need at a community blood drive.
Thousands of blood donations are needed daily to meet the needs of accident victims, cancer patients, and children with blood disorders.  Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood.  Blood has a limited shelf life and must constantly be replenished.
Please call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to make an appointment or for more information.  Individuals who are 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
During the month of February, all those who come in to donate blood at American Red Cross blood drives in Connecticut will receive a coupon for a free appetizer or dessert from Chili’s Grill & Bar.*

*Coupons are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.
