NEW HAVEN — Police announced Tuesday that a $25,000 reward is being offered for the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the the April 10, 2010 killing of Kenneth Thomas at Orchard and Charles streets.

HARTFORD - Over 15 million children are exposed to domestic violence each year in the United States.

Children who witness intimate partner violence within their family face a greater risk of developing severe and potentially lifelong problems with physical health, mental health, and school and peer relationships, as well as disruptive behavior.

The Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the Office of the Child Advocate will host a roundtable discussion on the impact that witnessing domestic violence has on children on Wednesday, March 6 at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.

The event will include a presentation by Dr. Steven Marans, Director of the National Center for Children Exposed to Violence and Professor of Psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine.

Marans is a member of the U.S. Attorney General's National Task Force on Children Exposed to Violence, which recently released its final report and recommendations.
