Agencies providing services for those impacted by Newtown tragedy

HARTFORD – The Office of the Victim Advocate announced numbers for families to call for services following the Newtown school massacre.  “Our hearts and prayers go out to the school body, the families of the victims and the Newtown Community that have been affected by this atrocious tragedy,” the office indicated, in an announcement.  “It is our understanding that the Office of Victim Services is coordinating efforts to provide services to the victims and the families affected by this tragedy and can be reached toll free at 1-800-822-8428 or (860) 263-2760.” Also, Survivors of Homicide is available to provide services to any families in need and can be reached toll free at 1-888-771-3126 or (860) 257-7388.
